Tryout Overview

  • Players receive optional 'rust off' sessions early September as per Hockey Canada's U10 pathway prior to evaluations
  • No contact with coaches or evaluators during tryouts
  • Selection decisions are made collaboratively to ensure fairness

The team and/or level at which a player played (or did not play) in previous seasons has no bearing on their evaluation, nor the selection process. Players are evaluated as they are at the evaluation sessions for the season they are trying out for.
