Clarey Harris

Hockey Background:

As a coach, I bring a lifelong passion for hockey shaped by my experiences as a competitive player, a dedicated coach, and a proud hockey parent. My commitment to player development extends beyond the ice, focusing on fostering growth both as athletes and as individuals. My love for the game was ignited during my time with the Gloucester Rangers, where I benefited from exceptional coaching and developed a strong foundation in the sport.

I was fortunate to spend several years training under Carl Ménard, owner of Competitive Edge Hockey School. As a teenager, I took my passion for the game to the next level by working alongside Carl as a skills coach, an experience that deepened my commitment to player development. Helping young athletes train, improve, and grow continues to be one of the most rewarding aspects of my involvement in the game.

For the past 16 years, I’ve worked in various roles with hockey players - running on-ice skill sessions, leading off-ice training, and serving as both an assistant and head coach.

Coaching Philosophy / Season Goal:

I believe hockey is about much more than goals and wins; it’s a platform to teach values like hard work, teamwork, and respect. I take my role as a coach and mentor seriously, striving to be a strong, supportive, and positive presence. My focus is not only on building hockey skills, but also on developing confidence and life skills - helping every player grow into both a better athlete and a better person.

I believe in creating a team environment that is fun, inclusive, and motivating. I take pride in fostering a positive team culture where every player feels valued and supported - a culture that players are proud to be part of and excited to contribute to.
