Blues U15
Philippe Dubuc
Hockey Background:
I was raised in the Cumberland area and played competitive hockey for many years growing up. Over time, I’ve been involved in player development across multiple age groups, which has given me a strong understanding of skill progression, team dynamics, and the expectations of rep hockey. These experiences have shaped my approach to building structured, competitive, and player‑focused environments.
Coaching Philosophy / Season Goal:
My coaching philosophy is centered on development, accountability, and creating a positive team culture. I believe players perform and grow best in an environment that balance’s structure and discipline with encouragement and support. Emphasis is placed on work ethic, hockey IQ, teamwork, and respect for teammates, officials, and the game.
My goal is to challenge players appropriately while helping them build confidence and a strong foundation for continued development.
Team Expectations
My expectations are simple and consistent:
- Players come prepared, work hard, and respect teammates, coaches, and officials
- Practices will be high‑tempo and purposeful
- Accountability and communication will be clear from day one
Season Goal
The primary goal for the season is to support each player’s individual development while building a cohesive and competitive team. This includes improving individual skills, team play, and overall consistency throughout the season.
Equally important is fostering a positive experience where players develop confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of team pride, while representing the Orléans Blues with professionalism and sportsmanship both on and off the ice.
