Blues U10 Tryout Information
Unless otherwise noted, registration for this year’s Blues tryouts will open on July 1st and be closing on August 22nd for U10 to U16 and September 12th for U18. If you are planning on trying out, you must register before the deadline.
Player's registration will not be complete until they have registered with their home association.
Registration dates and fees:
Tryout fees for 2026-2027 season are:
Regular $ (starting July 1st), Late $ (starting August 1st)
Late fee doesn't apply for anyone new moving into the area, regular fee will be applied.
There is a $50 admin fee for refunds (except for players that make Rangers, Medical, or Blues approved circumstance).
No refunds after August 1st (except for players that make Rangers, Medical, or Blues approved circumstance).
If selected to play on a Blues team, players will have a competitive top up fee of up to $650, payable by October 15th. This amount is separate from the registration fees paid to your home association and team fees paid to the team.

Rust-offs / Tryouts are currently projected to start the first week of September and run for about two weeks.
Where
Where are practices and games typically held?
For the most part practices and home games are held at Bob MacQuarrie, Lois Kemp, Potvin and Armstrong. Away games may be played across the Ottawa region, from Casselman to Kinburn.
Practices
When are practices and how often are they?
Teams typically practice 2-3 times per week.
Weekdays 4pm-9pm, Weekends/Holidays 7am-9pm
Games
U10 Teams will play 42-57 games over the course of the season.

6 Round-Robin Playoff Games

Jerseys
Are jerseys provided or are they purchased separately?
Blues jerseys, socks (home/away) and pant shells are required and may be purchased at Lacroix Sports
Extra Costs
What costs beyond the house league association registration fees should be expected?
Blues Player Top Up Fee $450
Team Fee $1000-$1400 collect funds to cover tournament entry fees.
Out of town Hotel typically between $150-300per night
